The recognition of the drinking water was published in Government Gazette 5616/B/22.09.2023. In particular, the decision states the following:
No. D1(d)/GP 45818 (2) Recognition of the water from the “Kefalóvryso” spring of the settlement Peukófito, municipality of Chrisi, Regional Unit of Arrenes, Municipality of Nestorio, Prefecture of Kastoria, as natural mineral water, under the trade name “ARRENA®”, low in salt content and suitable for a low‑sodium diet.
THE HEAD OF THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH Having regard to:
- The Presidential Decree 121/2017 “Organization of the Ministry of Health” (A’ 148).
- The Presidential Decree 433/1983 “Terms of exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters” (A’ 163) and in particular its Article 1. 63366 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE Issue B’ 5616/22.09.2023
- The joint decision of the Ministers of Finance and Health and Social Solidarity, No. 56591/9.6.2004 (B’ 887), on the determination of the list of marginal values for collections and the indications for labelling natural mineral waters.
- The decision, reference A1β/GP 6072/4‑2‑2022, of the Minister of Health establishing the Committee for the Recognition of Waters as Natural Mineral Waters.
- The minutes, references 133/21.6.2023 and 134/15.09.2023, of the Committee for the Recognition of Natural Mineral Waters.
- The documents, references οικ. 68055/27‑04‑2023 and οικ. 140377/29‑08‑2023, of the Directorate of Public Health and Social Welfare, Prefecture of Kastoria.
- Article 109 of Law 4622/2019 “Executive State: organisation, operation and transparency of the Government, its bodies and the central public administration” (A’ 133). 8. The opinion, reference B1α/οικ. 48200/18.9.2023, of the General Directorate of Financial Services of the Ministry of Health, stating that the content of this ministerial decision does not create an expense for the State budget or for the budgets of supervised entities, we decide: We recognise the water from the “Kefalóvryso” spring located in the settlement Peukófito of the municipality of Chrisi, Regional Unit of Arrenes, Municipality of Nestorio, Prefecture of Kastoria, of the company “Nera Pigon Grammou S.A.” as natural mineral water under the trade name “ARRENA” with the indications “suitable for a low‑sodium diet” and “low salt content”. The label must comply with current legislation. Any change to the label must be accompanied by a relevant opinion from the competent Committee for the Recognition of Natural Mineral Waters.
This decision shall be published in the Government Gazette. Athens, 18 September 2023.
