With great honour, Nera Pigon Grammou S.A. received the Silver Award in the “Water Challenge Initiatives aligned with Sustainable Development Goals” category of the Water Awards 2025, just in its second year of operation.
This distinction recognises the proper and transparent management of the Kefalovryso spring, from which ArrenA Natural Mineral Water flows, and the protection of the Sarantaporo River, a valuable element of the landscape and biodiversity, as it is a Natura 2000 stream hosting rare flora and fauna.
As Marketing & Communications Director Maria Katsampouri explains: “The heart of Nera Pigon Grammou ‘beats’ on Mount Grammos, in an area included in the NATURA 2000 network. For all of us the region is not a constraint but an honourable responsibility. We have designed and implemented a comprehensive sustainable water‑management plan that places the preservation of ecological balance and the protection of this unique ecosystem as its utmost priority, and we are proud that our effort has been recognised. This award confirms our endeavour and gives us the strength to continue, aiming to be a model of sustainable development for the Greek countryside.”
This award underlines Nera Pigon Grammou’s commitment to sustainable development and its genuine contribution to environmental protection and local biodiversity.
